IMEC, The University of Antwerp and Ghent University have teamed up to create a new spin-off in the domain of AI & cycling. Brailsports is the ultimate AI companion for cyclists. We provide a new training platform for professional teams and cyclists who want to go the extra mile. Thanks to our unique AI engine, teams and cyclists get highly personalized insights: from real-time fitness monitoring (no highly demanding FTP tests anymore) to personalized training adaptations (immediate changes based on breakthroughs or early signs of fatigue). The Brailsports story just started and we’re looking for a full stack developer who wants to be part of this adventure from day 1.  

 

What you will do

Ø  You’re responsible for the front and backend development of the Brailsports dashboard.

Ø  You take data in from various fitness platforms via RESTful APIs (Trainingpeaks, Wahoo, Garmin) and visualize it in the Brailsports dashboard.

Ø  You setup a continuous integration and continuous delivery flow to ensure future evolution of the Brailsports dashboard.

Ø  You take measures to ensure that the Brailsports application can scale.

Ø  You work together with the Brailsports AI  team, that is responsible for the machine learning model development within Brailsports

Ø  You’re part of a small but ambitious team that wants to scale.

Who you are

Ø  You have a bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Ø  Proficiency in Python, React, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and GraphQL.

Ø  Strong understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3, etc.).

Ø  Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

Ø  Familiarity with database design, management and cloud platforms like Azure.

Ø  Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ø  Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Ø  You’re flexible and have a startup mentality.

Ø  You have a strong affinity with the world of cycling and sports in general. When you’re not behind your laptop you’re either on the bike or in the couch watching a race.
